currently staring into my fridge wondering why I have better ingredients fifty miles out of service on the tailgate of the truck.
a few years back while the snow melted @morganphillips @isaacsjohnston and I decided to build a platform and float the tub. we found a bunch of old steel drums outside a warehouse in Kalispell, made a few too many stops at Home Depot, had some rudimentary drawings and did some suspect math. built the thing in the garage at our place in Big Fork, it came together pretty quick, though not quick enough for me, I left for a job in Iceland before she made her maiden voyage. been trying to find somewhere to build a floating tub ever since. it’ll happen eventually. #leicam6 #portra400
ol’ Blue and the boys. we pulled up to get gas, I stepped out of the truck and saw a classic blue car, blue shirt and blue stripe framing it, almost in my peripherals, just saw colour. I scrambled hilariously for the camera on the dash and got a photo before the fellas noticed me, one of my favourites from the trip, a good reminder to never leave the rig tucked in a bag. life happens when nothing’s happening. #leicam6
bought this hat three and a half years ago at a Salvation Army outside Verwood, SK for fifty cents. conservative estimates have it on my head about half the days since, it’s been to three continents, been lost a handful of times, but mostly, it’s been an incredible return on two quarters. I’ve donated more change to the sidewalk by accident than I spent on this hat. Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and whatever that means forever. Oh and thanks for the photo @haydenkortemoore #leicam6 #portra400
the people make the place, held true everywhere I've been. you can't just chase things and ever really get a feel, you need to spend time, come back around. the best stories are tied up to the folks you meet, the people you call friends however many years later, pals you greet with a hug. #kodakdisposable #35mm
we lack relationship to it, to the rock, millennia of geological churning and glacial carving, the brutal persistent turmoil to expose these jagged monoliths. the story is so incomprehensible, we sort of pass it off as fiction, as a narrative from some book or film, some fantasy. we worship our own relatively insignificant idols, stand in awe of manufactured wonder, and even when we turn to nature for beauty, if feels as though we overlook what it implies, of process, patience, struggle, inevitability. the more you learn, the more profound and eloquent it becomes, a puzzle begins to take shape and you have no part in the pieces, because it's all so much greater than you, than us. #leicam6 #35mm
