I pulled this dragonfly from the lake after watching it crash and start to sink. It sat on my hand for about an hour, then finally flew away. The rest of the day dragonflies kept flying up to me and hovering in front of my face, almost as if they were saying thank you. @rob.sese and I couldn’t believe it. The energy was strong, I had never felt so “one with nature” in my life. Since this day, I’ve had more interesting encounters with dragonflies, making them one of my favorite creatures. I wanted to leave you with this video as I prepare to go off the grid for the week in Greenland. This next month will be an exciting one, and I’m excited to share what’s up with all of you soon.
The eagles have been regularly hanging out in the trees surrounding my cabin, so I was gratefully able to capture this photo from my living room. It’s felt like a dream living in a place constantly connected with nature, so much that time often feels non existent.
A delicate encounter between two worlds. Thank you @joelschat for lending me your lens for this unexpected scene.
Somewhere in the storm
Rain is in the forecast...
The more you look, the less you see
Keep your childlike wonder alive through all phases of life.
Diamonds in the ice. There’s still some time left to apply for the East Greenland photography workshop I’m leading alongside my talented friends @hannes_becker and @benjaminhardman. We will be living on a wooden sailboat for the week, getting up close and personal with some of the most unique views on earth. This trip will be quite the life experience and we’d love to share it with you. The link in my bio has all the info! 🇬🇱
It was quite an eye opening and humbling experience traveling to Chernobyl, Ukraine, on assignment for @Nvidiageforceuk and @metrovideogame. Chernobyl is regarded as one of the worst nuclear disasters, ultimately caused by a nuclear reactor catching fire that released deadly radioactive particles that spread across Eastern Europe. This accident forced people from their homes without any warning or any indication of danger, as hidden by the former Soviet Union's iron curtain of secrecy. The victims were told they could return home in three days time, but in reality they would never be able to return again. It has been over 32 years since the accident, but the area surrounding the plant will remain too toxic to inhabit for many more thousands of years. As technology advances, the lines of reality and the digital world become more blurred and even though my visit to this area was short, it has left a profound impact on myself that will carry with me throughout the rest of my life. #partner
Join @benjaminhardman, @hannes_becker and myself on a week long sailing expedition & photography workshop through Scoresbysund in the East of Greenland. Space is limited, so this will be an intimate and unique opportunity to learn about our techniques and processes as we travel by sailboat through one of the largest fjord systems on the planet. More details on this expedition can be found at the link in our bios! 🇬🇱
Four eagles, perfectly placed. I’m not sure if this was a coincidence or if they’re just best friends.
Living in a balance of two extremes. Quietly creating on a path of self discovery, finding purpose through life’s biggest tests. Living present and centered, practicing patience and trusting the universe. My mind is foggy, but I’m finding myself in the mist.
