The sun is shining, it's a beautiful spring day, its the weekend and you just scored a great deal on chicken feed at the Rural King. Life is good..... until your Blue Truck comes home on a trailer. Ole thing, litterally shit out his driver side wheel bearings. Still looking beautiful, just a little #broken.
Still beautiful...just in case you were wondering.
Bringing the blue truck back to beautiful certainly wasn't cheap, nor was it easy, but this project was about so much more. The memories made, lessons learned, and stories that have been told are far greater than any dollar amount. The love and labor that this truck has seen is beyond priceless. More than just a project, @operation_blue_truck_beautiful solved the problems of the day, mended broken hearts and guided young minds into future careers. Almost $10,000 out of an Ag. Teacher's pocket to rebuild an old truck?!?! Yep, and I would easily pay double to experience it all again, it's just money afterall. Why buy something new when you can build something legendary.
Way back in 1996 The Blue Truck was bought brand new from #turnpikeford I am sure she was absolutely stunning sitting there on the lot brand new and shiny. I couldn't officially bring her back to showroom beautiful without reapplying the Turnpike Ford sticker. When I bought my White Truck several years ago I asked the fellas at the dealership for an extra sticker in anticipation for this day. While some see it as moving advertisement, I see it as pure satisfaction. I think she might be complete. #fordrebuild #powerstrokeswag #win #73powerstroke #legendsneverdie
The fellas at Blackout Customs in Ghent did an outstanding job on the tint. Very professional and entertaining they made sure The Blue Truck received the royal treatment. I can now see out the driver door window....the old tint was trashed that bad. #powerstrokeswag #tint #almostfinished #fordrebuild #legendary73
My very own mobile diesel fuel station. Holy crap! Where has this been all my life?!?!
Waiting for 101 gallons of diesel to pump is a lot like waiting for paint to dry.
The fuel across the border is cheap. It's a great time to try out that "leveling kit" I bought.
Don't scratch it, don't dent it, stay away from idiots and shopping carts. That just about sums up my thoughts everytime we hit the road.
No more ugly, beat up, black plastic things along the doors. Hello chrome.
Original Ford Diesel Fuel Only stickers. Back on the fuel doors. Details like this make all the difference.
